Australian Native

Anaglyph 3D photograph requiring glasses with a red filter over the left eye, and a cyan filter over the right eye. Taken in 2009.

With the 3D structures seen correctly, one can determine the main spherical forms in the bush. This 3D photograph was constructed from 2 photographs taken using a digital SLR camera from my specially constructed tripod adapter for sliding between left and right eye positions. The air was still, so I could take 2 photographs without too much movement in the scene.

Detail 1:

The flowers are also in spherical forms.

Detail 2:

An ordinary section of garden can be seen as an amazing 3D structure with thousands of curved surfaces, thin 'vertical' stems, unopened flower bud forms, and spreading flower forms. It's all about appreciating the complexity and the subtlety within the many amazing things in the world around us.
