A Sitting Woman, Drawn using ‘Felt’ lines

A Sitting Woman, Drawn using ‘Felt’ lines
37 cm (w) x 49 cm (h), conté on litho paper.
Date produced: 1988 - 1992

This drawing is a combination of mainly concentrating on the contours around the various forms seen, and trying to keep the drawn lines within a reasonably accurate depiction of the whole. Much of the drawing was done looking only at the model, with occasional glances back at the drawing to keep it under some overall control (in terms of overall proportions). The lines are mainly continuous. I see the crossed legs in this drawing as working well with this approach, giving a good sense of the main forms in 3-dimensional space.
